Skyecrafts Solar Store INC is a family run business owned and operated by Patrick and April Kolen of Port Richey Florida.
Patrick Kolen, originally from Rotterdam The Netherlands enjoys the nice people he has met through selling garden gnomes. Some of his fond experiences include the woman in NJ who needed help in tracking down her stolen gnomes to the wedding party in Arizona who posed for photos with one of his gnomes and let's not forget the numerous requests from the lovelorn to send a gnome to a faraway beau.
April Kolen enjoys reading about the folklore with gnomes and the fact that the 3 Kolen children were exposed to gnomes before Santa and believe Santa Claus to be one giant gnome. Having gnomes all over the place has made it simple to introduce their homeschooled children to folklore and cultures from other countries as well as classic fairytales and literature.
Both Patrick and
April are very busy with the solar store part of Skyecrafts which can
be mentally draining,so the gnomes offer a nice respite.
Many people ask us about gnomes and why we sell them. Many people do not know what gnomes are when they walk into our shop.
Gnomes encompass some very positive values that are in every humans heart but we seem to be so bogged down with modern society that we don't let these traits shine.
Gnomes are close to the Earth. Their height. They are unencumbered by what gets to us, their human counterparts. Gnomes can concentrate on helping animals, tending to Mother Earth, taking care of their families and being fair in their villages, to their fellow gnomes. They even find the time to help us out in secret according to legend and lore. Gnomes focus on what it is to be human.
We speak English and Dutch. We ship UPS . Shoplifters will be eaten by trolls.
Shipping Policies:
We will refund money for damages incurred while using UPS shipping. If USPS is the shipping choice, then the purchase of shipping insurance by the customer especially for fragile wee folk is highly suggested. We can not refund for damages incurred with USPS. We will only ship to Alaska and Hawaii if the choice in shipping is UPS. We do ship internationally but we need to give you the price first, so email us.
