logo4.JPG Everyone needs to sell a house these days...you, me and them. What to do, what to do. Bake cookies so your house smells homey, hire a stager, have a garage sale the same day and get looky loos for the open house amoungst the hagglers for the Precious Moments snowballs set and so on and so forth. The net is full of ideas but what about cheap and easy.

So, can a garden gnome help sell your home? Yes.

1. Any lawn ornament outside shows that the street is safe enough to put a statue on without constant fear of the threat of stealing it. Do you see garden gnomes in bad neighborhoods? Nope.                 No Gnomes in that picture!

2. A garden gnome shows the type of people living in the house. Traditional, yet whimsical with innocence on the side. Perhaps because you like garden gnomes and they are in good shape, well then, you took good care of your home?!?  Maintained the boiler, treated the termites etc Stuff they can't really judge that well on a first visit.

 3. Garden gnomes give your open house people a good conversational opener to use either on you (for sale by owner) or on their real estate agent. Corny jokes follow about gnomes and everyone feels relaxed before entering your home.

4. Garden gnomes are colorful. If you are selling in the winter, they will add color to your drab landscape. They can spruce up shady boring parts too.

5. Gnomes are supposed to bring good luck. If anything needs it, it's the real estate market.

6. Garden gnomes can hide or distract bad points about your home. Like that giant crack in the outside wall can be covered upfountain-01.gif
